Position – CNC Turner (Team Leader)  

Location – Washington, but moving to the Houghton Site after 2 months  

Annual Salary – Up to £19.25 per hour

Shifts – Day shift – 4-day working week

Main Duties:

  • Supverise the CNC Machinists on the shop floor
  • Report to the operations manager
  • Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Program CNC turning machines using CAM software or manual programming techniques.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and measurements to verify part dimensions.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Team Leader or similar role.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling selection.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
