Hourly Rates/Shifts: 2 Shifts (Shifts never guaranteed)

  • Days - 7am 7pm (Mon- Thurs) - £19.26 per hour
  • Nights - 7pm – 7am (Mon-Thurs) - £25.16 per hour

Job Description:

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the safe operation of CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality components. Working with precision tolerances, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating and setting CNC Turning and Milling machines
  • Working with tight tolerances and conducting thorough quality checks
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Using a variety of measuring equipment, including Verniers, micrometres, and CMMs
  • Conducting daily machine maintenance checks and reporting any major issues
  • Working closely with the Tool Preparation team to ensure timely availability of materials and tools
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production requirements
  • Forklift truck driving and lifting/slinging as required

 

 

 

Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this CNC Machinist role, candidates should have:

  • Experience in CNC Turning and Milling
  • Ability to work to demanding tolerances
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment and quality control processes
  • Previous experience in low-batch, bespoke manufacturing is desirable
  • Forklift and lifting/slinging experience (or willingness to obtain certification)
