Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to strengthen our dynamic Purchasing Team. As a Buyer, you will play a key role in procuring technical goods and services, negotiating contracts, and working closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality. Your role will involve supporting R&D initiatives, managing supplier relationships, challenging existing costs, and driving value engineering (VA/VE) efforts.
Key responsibilities include:

Collaborating with R&D to meet project needs and timelines

Negotiating prices, contracts, and managing supplier agreements

Creating and overseeing project timing plans

Evaluating supplier capabilities and performance

Managing design changes and maintaining the approved supplier list

Ensuring adherence to procurement procedures and work instructions
Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Purchasing or Buyer role
-
Automotive industry experience preferred but not essential
-
Strong knowledge of Excel, Office, and ERP systems
-
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
-
Proven organisational, multitasking, and negotiation skills
