Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to strengthen our dynamic Purchasing Team. As a Buyer, you will play a key role in procuring technical goods and services, negotiating contracts, and working closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality. Your role will involve supporting R&D initiatives, managing supplier relationships, challenging existing costs, and driving value engineering (VA/VE) efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with R&D to meet project needs and timelines

  • Negotiating prices, contracts, and managing supplier agreements

  • Creating and overseeing project timing plans

  • Evaluating supplier capabilities and performance

  • Managing design changes and maintaining the approved supplier list

  • Ensuring adherence to procurement procedures and work instructions

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Purchasing or Buyer role

  • Automotive industry experience preferred but not essential

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Office, and ERP systems

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Proven organisational, multitasking, and negotiation skills
