Assistant Buyer

Assistant Buyer (Washington) – Up to £28,000

*Genuine progression opportunities.

*CIPS fully funded.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in cost reduction generation and tracking.
• Identification of new suppliers, assessments, and sourcing proposals.
• New part cost negotiation and achievement of target costs for new models.
• Data analysis and reporting.
• Establish working relationships with all departments, initiate meetings with engineers to understand new part concepts and design concerns.
• Supplier management.
• Establish good product knowledge and understanding of your commodities.

The ideal candidate:

• Come from a high-volume Manufacturing background (desirable)
• CIPS (Desirable)
• Excel proficient (Essential)
• Experience using ERP / MRP systems (Desirable)
• 2+ years purchasing experience.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
