A brilliant opportunity has arisen with a leading manufacturing company, who we are supporting, in their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, due to their continued success and growth within the company.

The Position of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

We are looking for an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, who is qualified maintenance engineer with an mechanical bias. We are looking for someone who has exposure of working the manufacturing industry, ideally the FMCG sector. A strong range of fault-finding experience is essential for this role.  

Strong continuous self-improvement and ethics is a must. The company are looking for someone who is able to prioritise and manage multiple breakdowns, deadlines and be fast to react on their feet.  




Skills & Requirements of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer:  

  • HNC / HND / ONC Maintenance Qualification (Time Served)
  • To have worked in some form of high demanding manufacturing industry, ideally within the FMCG sector or some high-pressured environment.
  • Strong mechanical fault diagnostics and fault finding upon a range of machinery.
  • Mechanical understanding; pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems
  • The ability to work at heights would be an advantage.
  • To have worked upon control system and conveyors belts.
  • To have been hands on with gears, pumps, and valves in a previous role.

    (90% of this role is mechanical bias, any basic electrical skills or understanding would be a great advantage – but not essential)


Main Responsibilities of an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

  • Undertake the commissioning and installation of new plant equipment across the factory.
  • Follow routine preventative and PPM schedules.
  • To reactive to any faults upon machinery, rectifying faults and enabling this is being documented to prevent any occurring issues moving forward.
  • Follow on site procedures to ensure the smooth running of plant equipment and machinery.
  • All document to be completed as required.
  • The ability to build relationships with internal departments and teams. Liaise with external contractors whilst on site.
