They specialise in complex manufacturing processes including powder mixing, extrusion, calendering, solvent recovery, and waste product recycling.

Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch)
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environmental Manager to join a high-performing manufacturing team. As the Environmental Manager, you will take full responsibility for site environmental management and compliance, working closely with all environmental regulators.
Key responsibilities for the Environmental Manager include maintaining compliance with Environmental Agency permits, trade effluent consents, packaging obligations, and climate change agreements. You will also lead on ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems, ensuring effective audits, emergency preparedness, and pollution prevention measures are delivered.
Chemical management is an important part of this Environmental Manager role. You will coordinate solvent teams, troubleshoot solvent use and emissions, work on solvent capture, and manage carbon media changes. You will also provide environmental training across the workforce and offer support to the H&S Manager during absence periods.
The successful Environmental Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing high environmental standards across a technically complex site operating 24/7.
Skills and Experience:

Professional Environmental Qualification.
-
Experience in environmental management within a chemical or process manufacturing environment

Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 systems

Familiarity with REACH regulations and Environmental Agency permit control

Experience supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems is preferred

Highly organised, excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint

Tenacious, hands-on, excellent problem solver with strong attention to detail

Previous supervisory or management experience is advantageous
